1960-present

With its roots in a family run business dating back to the early 1960s, C.E.M. Plant Limited was incorporated in 1991 and traded for many years as Ryan Plant Hire (RYANS) which reflected its earlier emphasis on plant hire, bulk excavations, earth moving, civil engineering and road construction.

RYANS were the principal contractor on the following notable infrastructural projects:

OUR COMPANY, TODAY

Since establishment, our founding and managing director Michael Ryan, has overseen the sustained growth of the business and has adapted as required, due to the ever changing environment of the Irish Construction Industry.

Today C.E.M. Plant Limited trades as CEM Services (Civil Engineering & Maintenance Services) which better reflects the wide range of services now offered by our organisation. Through continued investments in health, safety, quality, IT, R&D and staff training, we have positioned our organisation to deliver consistently high standards, exceptional value, greater reliability and unparalleled levels of customer service.

We have utilised our vast experience in all aspects of the industry to specialise in providing comprehensive Facility Services to industry in a competitive, efficient and safe environment where all regulatory and employer requirements are incorporated and adhered to without difficulty. In today’s competitive marketplace, CEM’s core capabilities extend to a wide range of services across all industries and sectors.

We support our clients from project inception, to the commissioning of the fully operational facility.

Currently we are the term service civil engineering contractor at the Phillips 66 Whitegate Oil Refinery site. We have worked on both routine maintenance tasks as well as undertaking larger capital projects. All these projects were completed in compliance with Phillips 66 rigorous safety standards whilst conforming with engineering criteria as set out by the Petrochemical Industry and the consulting engineers onsite.
